En19 Steel

EN 19 is a high quality Quenched and Tempered Alloy Structural steel. Good ductility is a result of high quality steel, high tensile strength and shock resisting properties in combination with resistance to wear.

It is a high quality medium carbon.

Oil Quenched & Tempered Hardenss is 28-34 HRc. EN 19 Annealing delivery hardenss is less than 250HB.En 19 has high tenile strength of 850- 1000 Mpa. It is only avialable in round form.

FORGING

Minimum temperature for forging is 850°c. carefully preheat EN19 and then heat to 1150°C. After forging, cool slowly in still air.

ANNEALING

Heat to 680-700°C , Then cool in furnace.

NORMALISING

Heat 870°C – 900°C and cool in still air.

STRESS RELIEVING

Annealed: 600-650°c Heat in needed.
Hardened: 500-550°c Heat in needed.

HARDENING

Annealed: 600-650°c Heat in needed.
Hardened: 500-550°c Heat in needed.

Quality Assured Supply

EN19 is supplied reality heat treatment. Still heat treatment is required , so annealed EN19 is heated slowly to 860-890°c and quenching is done in oil or polymer. Tempering is done as soon as It reaches room temperature.
