XT35Cr5Mo1V3 – Hot working, artificial cast steel. Good shock and adequate abrasion attrition in hot environments, which has actual little to do with knives. Actual low alive hardness(for a knife) 46HRC max, although at atomic one antecedent cites 48-52HRC range. Even 52HRC is adulate bendable for any bisected appropriate knife. Still, some makers do use it in knives. I’m puzzled as to why though.
