EN 353

Kohli Iron & Steel Store is the wholesalers & leading Supplier of EN353. EN 353 steel has  0.17 % carbon content & probably it is  the most usual steel form as with the increase in  the carbon content , the material gets tougher & harder. Hardness & wear resistance of   EN 353 steel elevates  after warmness therapy .
Uses
  • automobiles functions – heavy duty tools, dudgeon pins, shaft, pinion, camshafts etc.

EN353 is re-heated  to 780C – 820°C, holding until  the temperature is uniform throughout the section, and then  quenched  in oil,Tempering must be done  immediately while  ithe component EN353 is still hand warm. Heat to 150C – 200°c , soak it  for 1 – 2 hours / 25mm of section, and then  cooled  in still air.
