1.2316 Steel is a pre-hardened material with good corrosion resistance(due to good Cr content).We have imported material,i.e.,Germanybased.It belongs to P20 family.

Heat slowly and uniformly at 1000°C. After forging ,it is to be cooled slowly in furnace or in an thermoinsulating material.
Slowly heated to 780°C and then cooled slowly in furnace to 600°C and then it has to be air cooled.
Soaking is done at temperature 600 – 650°C and then it is furnace cooled. This process is done at approx. 650 °C.
